Our Mission

To connect science, schools and communities by bringing research out of laboratories and into classrooms — empowering young minds, strengthening scientific literacy and building a greener, more inclusive tomorrow.

Our Vision

A Euro-Mediterranean region where every school becomes a hub of open science, where students and citizens co-create knowledge, and where sustainability is lived, taught and shared every day.

Our Values

Openness, inclusion, scientific rigour, ecological responsibility and citizen engagement — the foundations of a research project that truly serves society.

Project Context

A European Project
Rooted in Tunisia

LABWISE — Living and Bridging Schools for Innovation, Sustainability and Education — is co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA & Citizens) programme.

Coordinated by the University of Sousse (Tunisia), the project unites academic institutions, schools, civil society organisations and regional authorities across six countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region: Tunisia, Turkey, Spain, Poland, Greece and Cyprus.

Through a network of five School Living Labs, LABWISE reimagines the school as an experimental space where students, teachers, researchers and citizens co-design solutions for the challenges of our time.

Actions and learning experiences aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for a greener future.

03

Education

Empowering teachers and students through innovative pedagogies, STEM activities and scientific literacy programmes.

04

Citizen Engagement

Bringing science closer to society by involving communities, families and civil society in co-designed initiatives.

Global Commitment

Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Every LABWISE initiative is designed to contribute to the 2030 Agenda. Our Living Labs address multiple SDGs through education, sustainability and citizen science.
