About the Project

Bridging Science and Society

LABWISE is an international European research project that reimagines how science meets classrooms, communities and public life.

LABWISE is co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA & Citizens) programme. Coordinated by the University of Sousse (Tunisia), the project brings together academic institutions, schools, civil society organisations and regional authorities across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Through a network of five School Living Labs, LABWISE transforms classrooms into experimental spaces where students, teachers, researchers and citizens co-create knowledge around sustainability, scientific literacy and open science.

The project is placed under the presidency of Pr Lotfi Belkacem, with scientific coordination led by Pr Olfa Bouallègue.
